The best way to celebrate Christmas this year is to do social distancing and watch movies. Netflix has many good Christmas movies available that you can enjoy with your family. Netflix also added a bunch of new movies for Christmas recently as well. According to a report, Netflix has 195 million paid users all around the world. Millions of people are also signing-in on this streaming service generating the demand for the content more than ever. However, Netflix is trying to grab as many followers as possible. HBO Max, Disney+, and Hulu all are giving tough competition to the streaming service giant Netflix these days.

How the Grinch stole Christmas
Based on the book by Dr. Seuss, the movie is considered a classical Christmas movie. Jim Carrey played the role of Grinch. The movie was released in 2000 and since then has become an iconic Christmas movie. The story is about a character named “Grinch” who lives outside the Whoville. He hates Christmas and loathes the citizen of Whoville for being happy and excited about Christmas. A little girl named “Cindy Lou” helps the Grinch to restore his faith in “Christmas”. She also teaches the people of Whoville the true meaning of Christmas.
The movie is a must-watch if you are spending Christmas watching movies this year. Taylor Momsen played the role of “Cindy Lou”. Taylor is also known for playing Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl.
Operation Christmas Drop
Operation Christmas Drop released this year. It is a Netflix original starring Kat Graham and Alexander Ludwig. Kat Graham played the role of Erica Miller, Congressional aide. She was sent to an operational beachside Air force base. She has to give her report about what kind of project is happening on the Air force. Miller finds herself in a dilemma when she meets Captain Andrew Jantz, who is in charge of the project known as “Operation Christmas Drop”. The movie got a lot of positive reviews from the audience but critics did not like the movie. The movie has a 5.8 rating on Imbd. Even though the movie has negative reviews, it is still widely loved by the audience.

Jingle Jangle
Another new movie that has been taking over Netflix for a while now is “Jingle Jangle”. The movie was released on November 13, 2020. This musical is based on the story of a toy-maker and his grand-daughter. The story follows how they both bring a magical world of toys to life. The movie is produced by John Legend. The movie failed to impress the critics but it was loved by the audience.
The Empire said this about the movie;
“It’s silly and a little too slow, but the characters are enormously charming and the design is overwhelmingly sumptuous. It should give viewers, especially children, a welcome hit of Christmas magic“.
Princess Switch Sequel
The movie was released on November 19, 2020. The movie is sweet and light-weighted. Fan loved Vanessa Hudgens acting in the movie. It is the best option if you are looking to see something sweet at Christmas. The Princess switch: switched again is produced by Vanessa Hudgens. However, the movie was loved by the audience.
Duchess Margaret inherits the throne to Montenaro and things become complicated with her boyfriend Kevin. Princess Stacy helps both of them to get back together
Elf
The elf is one of the best Christmas movies. It is a great choice if you want to watch something cute and unique. The elf was released in 2003. Even though the movie was released 17 years ago, it is still widely watched on Christmas. The movie earned 222.9 million dollars at the box office. Will Ferrell got world-wide fame due to this movie. The movie is about a guy named “Buddy” who was raised by Elves. However, he soon finds out that he is human. He returns to New York City to find his father after 30 years. Buddy is filled with the Christmas spirit. The movie was appreciated by the critics and was loved by the audience as well.
However, it was revealed months ago that Will ferell is working on a sequel with Kevin Hart. But, it is not known yet when they will release the sequel.
