The movie is not a remake of Disney’s Cinderella. The movie is going to be different. Camila is best known for her music. However, it is going to be her first acting job. A lot of big names from Broadway will be part of the movie. Fans are excited about Camila’s acting debut.
There are a lot of famous movies that are based on Cinderella. Selena Gomez also did a movie called “Another Cinderella story” that was released in 2008. Hillary Duff also did a movie called “A Cinderella story” in 2004. however, the upcoming movie is going to be quite different than the other ones.

Camila Cabello’s Cinderella plot is not entirely similar to “Disney’s Cinderella”. But, it has some twists. In this movie, Cinderella is a fashion designer and wants to open her own shop. But, unfortunately, it is not possible for her. Billy Porter will play the modern version of the fairy Godmother for Cinderella known as “Fab G”. He will help Cinderella achieve her dream.
Nicholas Galitzine, who plays Prince Robert in the movie, said this about the movie in an interview with Vogue:
“This version of Prince Charming is very much a fusion of both those things. He’s not your typical clean-cut, linear fairytale prince, there’s definitely an edge to him and there are things about him that make him more human than your typical fairytale prince, I think you always feel a certain level of nervousness when you’re taking on a character that is so well known and so iconic.”
He also shared his thoughts about working with Camila Cabello, he told Vogue;
“I can tell you for a fact that I have never felt as untalented as when I had to sing alongside her and the other incredible singers, I just feel so blessed to be on these tracks with these incredible singers, and regardless of what happens in life, no one can take that away from me now.”
Camila also shared her thoughts with an Instagram post with the caption;
“Last day of being a freakin badass rebellious dreamer princess. I’m so grateful to have had this experience and so grateful to our crew and team for making it possible (and completely Covid safe!) during a pandemic. Billy Porter will play the role of Fab G. Idina Menzel will play the role of Cinderella’s evil stepmother. Idina Menzel is a successful Broadway actress. She has done movies like Frozen, Enchanted, Disenchanted. Pierce Brosnan is going to play the role of the king in the movie. Nicholas Galitzine plays Prince Robert in the movie.
