Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a famous teen-supernatural TV series created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. It was released back in 2018. It released shortly after the release of Riverdale. Both Riverdale and the Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina are based on Archie Comics. Riverdale, despite many negative comments, is still going strong. But, spinoff shows like Katy Keene and the Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina are canceled by Netflix. The last season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina aired on Netflix last year in December.
The creator of the show, Aguirre-Sacasa always wanted a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale Crossover. It was supposed to happen in the next season of CAOS, but Netflix canceled the show. However, recently Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said that the crossover is “more possible than it’s ever been”. As Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is canceled by Netflix so the crossover will happen in Riverdale.
Kiernan Shipka, who plays the role of Sabrina in the CAOS also revealed that she is keen on reprising her role for Riverdale.
I feel like Sabrina could definitely make it back if she wanted to,” she told TV host Tommy Didario. “She’s very smart. I feel like she’d spend a bit of time in the Sweet Hereafter and then get bored and start missing her friends, so I think that that’s possible. She’s never been to Riverdale and I’d still like to go, I would like to check it out so that’s a possibility. There are multiple possibilities, but I’m definitely open to the idea of visiting her again. I can say, with truth, I’ve no idea how it would come to be.”
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale Crossover
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa also revealed that there have been actual talks about The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale Crossover. The crossover between the two shows is more than possible since both are based on Archie Comics. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he said:
I will tell you that we have had a lot of conversations about figuring out a way to bring characters from Katy Keene to Riverdale and from Sabrina to Riverdale, so it’s more possible than it’s ever been, let me say that
Riverdale creators are also figuring out how they can bring the characters from Katy Keene and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to Riverdale. Recently, CW renewed Riverdale for a sixth season. Riverdale Season 5 is still ongoing and a 7 year Time Jump happened in the latest episode.
