Katherina Langford is a versatile actress. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in 13 Reasons Why. However, she also appeared in Knives out. There is no doubt that she is one of the famous Australian actors right now. Netflix Cursed released on 17 July 2020 at the streaming platform. It instantly became number one in many countries. However, some critics were not happy with the show. Netflix has been trying to give the audience a Game of Thrones kind of show. The Witcher is one of the examples. However, the witcher is getting another season. But, Netflix has been quite silent about season 2 of cursed.
There is no news about whether the show will come back for season 2. Katherina Langford is also silent about Cursed Season 2 of the show and did not say anything on her social media platforms. Fans of Hannah Baker were quick to watch the show but it seems like critics were not happy with the attempt. Netflix is no stranger when it comes to canceling the shows. The platform canceled a lot of seasons in the past month including The Society and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as well.
Expected Plot of Cursed Season 2
The drama series is based on the folklore of King Arthur and the lady of the lake Nimue. The Netflix adaptation is actually inspired by Wheeler and Miller’s comics by the same name.
The first season of the show ended with a cliffhanger. In the first season, we saw how Nimue was fascinated by Sister Iris. Nimue was seen falling into the river after she was shot by the arrows of sister Iris. However, the comics are based on Nimue’s journey, not King Aurthur’s. Red paladins are after Fey and King Aurthur might join the forces with Fey-hunting weeping monks. However, after the death of father Carden red paladins might need a new leader. Sister Iris might become the new leader of the red paladin as she killed Nimue. Sister Iris was also invited by the pope’s trinity guard.
“Nimue comes from the world of magic,” said Miller in a 2019 interview with Barnes and Noble
“Nimue is a creature of great power coming into her power. Her journey in the story is our journey. We follow her as we follow Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. She’s the alpha and the omega.”
Katherine Langford is not done with character yet. She is excited to play the character in season 2 as well. Katherine Langford told the Elle about her character;
“I feel like [season 1] is really just the tip of the iceberg, There’s a lot of talk about the sword this season, and I feel like it would be interesting to see just how deep Nimue’s powers go and what kind of untapped power she has within.”
Release Date
There is no news about the release date of the series yet. We might have to wait for a while for Cursed Season 2. The season 2 might release next year. However, it depends on Netflix if they would continue cursed or not.
