Euphoria Season 2 is coming to HBO next year. The show is based on an Israeli show with the same name. Euphoria has received positive comments from both critics and the audience. Season 2 of the show was delayed due to the corona-virus pandemic. 5.5 million people watched the premiere of the show at HBO max. Euphoria explores difficult topics like Drugs addiction, sex, and identity. However, we did get 2 episodes before the release of season 2.
Zendaya even won an Emmy award for her performance in the series. The series also won two other Emmys for Outstanding Contemporary Makeup and Outstanding Music and Lyrics for Labrinth’s song ‘All For Us’.
However, the critically acclaimed series is coming back at HBO Max for another amazing season. Zendaya Coleman who plays “Rue” in the show shared her feelings about the upcoming season in an interview:
“There is a beautiful second season that has been written”
She also revealed that she had to miss this year’s MET gala because she was busy filming the show.
Plot
According to Coleman Domingo who plays Ali on the show, he revealed that we will also see current issues like COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement;
“I think all of it,” he said. “I think possibly all of it because I know that he’s very interested. Sam is very astute and interested in the world, and letting the show hold a mirror up to society, and deconstruct it, and smash it over the head with a hammer, so I feel he would do all of it.”
In Jule’s bridge episode, we found out Rue and Jules reunited. Jules apologized and Rue left her crying in her room. We also saw Jules telling her therapist about Rue and her mother. Hunter Schafer, who plays Jules on the show, also co-wrote the bridge episode. She told the vulture that the bridge episode “F*uk anyone who is not a sea blob” was a result of a conversation between her and Sam Levinson(shows creator).
Barbie Ferreira who plays Kat on the show revealed that she thinks her character is “queer” and she wants her character to explore her queerness in the upcoming season. She said this during an interview with the New York times;
“I feel like in my personal life I’ve been gay as hell. I think Kat’s a little queer… but that might be my perspective.”
Sydney Sweeny revealed in an interview with ET that you will be surprised by Cassie’s story in season 2. She also revealed that she believes that “Cassie” needs to get it together.

Euphoria Season 2 will release on 22 January 2022. Zendaya also posted the official trailer for the show on her Instagram account.
