What caused the explosion in the Beirut, Lebanon?

Beirut is the capital of Lebanon which is situated in West Asia. Two huge explosions rocked the capital city of Lebanon today. Soon after the huge explosion, Beirut went trending on Twitter and people started to tweet the videos of the explosion. According to the health minister of Lebanon, a ship carrying the fireworks blew up in the port.

Officials say this is an explosion caused by ‘sodium nitrate’ material in the Beirut port.

However, the citizens of Beirut believes that the explosions resulted from a rocket strike or any explosives, fireworks couldn’t have damaged the city this much. Here are the videos:
