The Vampire Diaries ended 3 years ago, and it’s spin-off show The Originals ended 2 years ago. While The Vampire Diaries showed us a happy ending, The Originals ending was quite saddening. They killed off our favorite Originals “Elijah” and “Klaus”. Stefan also died in The Vampire Diaries, making Caroline a “Widow”. Stefan and Klaus’s deaths were the most emotional deaths in the history of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. They both died protecting someone they cared about the most. Stefan thought this is the only way for him to be redeemed and for Damon to have Elena. While, Klaus did it for Hope, his tribrid daughter.
We saw many Klaus and Caroline moments in The Vampire Diaries. However, Carolina only made an actual appearance in Season 5 of The Originals. It was after the death of Stefan, and when Alaric and caroline were running the Salvatore School for the Gifted Ones. She made quite an entrance in The Originals Season 5 Episode 1, when Klaus was on the edge, killing people that he thought would come for his daughter.

Caroline actually brought good in him, but the main reason he changed was Camille O’Connell. We got to see some more moments in The Originals 5×06. In which Klaus asks Caroline that did she regret meeting him? And she said No. However, the episode turned out to be Elijah vs Klaus and Hayley vs Greta. Hayley dies in this episode.

On 5th May someone tweeted about how The Vampire Diaries’ biggest mistake was not letting Klaus be with caroline. Fans do agree that Klaus and Caroline should have been together. They were rather quite similar in some way. Caroline lost Stefan, Klaus lost Camille, and also Hayley later.
