HBO is planning to develop a Game Of Thrones Sequel based on Jon Snow. Game of Throne’s last episode aired in 2019. The network is trying to expand the Game of Thrones universe with several spin-offs and sequels. The show is based on George R.R Martin’s fantasy books. HBO is working on another show “House of dragons“ that follows the events before the original show “Game of Thrones” and is based on “Fire and blood” which tells the history of House Targaryen.
Kit Harington’s character was one of the main characters on the show which is why HBO is developing a show centered on Jon Snow. However, even though a lot of characters died by the end of season 8, the network can still create a decent show with the characters that are alive. The series is still in the development stage and there is no news about the other characters and cast members that might be associated with the project.
HBO’s reaction to the news:
HBO max’s official Twitter account shared Jon Snow’s picture along with one of the iconic lines from the show “You know nothing, Jon Snow“. They altered the line and the tweet said;
“I know nothing”
The tweet might be a confirmation that HBO is working on a Jon Snow sequel show. The news received mixed reviews from the fan. Kit Harington still has to make a comment on the news. The Game of Thrones actor seemed tired of playing the character. The actor opened up about his mental health during the last season of the show, he said this in an interview with SiriusXM;
“I went through some mental health difficulties after Thrones, to be honest, And I think it was directly to do with the nature of the show and what I’ve been doing for years.”
Harington also told GQ Australia about how the last season of the show affected the cast members, he said this during the interview;
“Everyone was broken at the end,” he said. “I don’t know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so f—— tiring.”
He also revealed that filming “Modern Love” was way easier than filming Game Of Thrones. The actor seems busy with other projects like “The Eternals” so it might be difficult for him to play the role again.
Plot
Jon Snow was banished from Westeros for killing Daenerys Targaryen. He went beyond the wall along with Wildings. His journey beyond the wall can give us an introduction to new creatures and give us deeper insight into what really lies there.
Game Of Thrones Sequel Release Date
There is no news about the release date of Game Of Thrones Sequel yet. HBO’s house of the dragon is all set to release this year in August. However, managing two sequel shows at the same time might be difficult for the Network.
