How to Get Mystic Armor Set

Talk to Koltin

The merchant NPC Koltin gives you the Mystic Armor set. You first come across this eccentric merchant behind the Woodland Stable. The exact location on the Surface map is right next to Pico Pond, east of Hyrule Castle.

If you’re worried about how to find Koltin, don’t be. He and his brother Kilton have a giant multicolored balloon above their merchant cart. Head towards it and you will come across the brothers’ cart. Talk to both of them.

Once you talk to Koltin, he will tell you about his ambition to eat Bubbul Gems to transform into a Satori. He will then task you with hunting down these Bubbul Gems.

Collect Bubbul Gems

Bubbul Gems are shiny crystals dropped by defeated Bubbulfrogs. These glowing white frogs are introduced early into the tutorial on the Great Sky Island.

The large ghostly frogs aren’t much of a threat. They appear in caves across Hyrule and deal minimal damage. But they are hard to catch. Keep their speed in mind and do not chase them from wall to wall. Instead, take them on with a bow and arrow. Two or three arrows are enough to do the job. If you keep missing, attach a Keese, Aerocuda, or Octorok Eyeball to your arrow to make a homing projectile.

When defeated, each Bubbulfrog drops one Bubbul Gem. You’re going to need a lot of these to get the Mystic set. Visit the Eldin and Hebra regions to hunt around for caves. Most caves will have a Bubbulfrog.

Exchange for Armor Pieces

Once your inventory’s full of Bubbul Gems, locate Koltin to exchange them for Mystic armor pieces. You get a Bokoblin Mask for the first Gem. After that, Koltin leaves Woodland Stable to wander Hyrule. You can find him in the Hebra region east of the Snowfield Stable.

Keep bringing Koltin Bubbul Gems until you get all three pieces of the Mystic Armor set. This includes the Mystic Robe, the Mystic Trousers, and the Mystic Headpiece. The Mystic Robe costs 3 Gems, while the Mystic Trousers and Headpiece cost 4 Gems each.

Like most NPCs, the monster-loving merchant changes locations often. You can visit his brother Kilton in Akkala region’s Tarrey Town to find out his current location.
