How to Get Ribombee in Pokemon GO

Spring is in the air, and so is the newest Pokemon addition to Pokemon GO – Ribombee! It’s time to get those Pokeballs ready and add this cute Bug and Fairy type Pokemon to your Pokedex. This beginner’s guide will help you catch Ribombee and bring it to your team.

How to Catch Cutiefly

The first step to catching Ribombee is to catch its base form, Cutiefly. Cutiefly can be found through Wild Encounters in the overworld, in 1-Star Raids, and upon hatching 2 km Eggs. Cutiefly will be absolutely everywhere until the Spring into Spring event ends on April 10, 2023. After that, you’ll still be able to find Cutiefly in both the wild and through eggs.

Evolving Cutiefly into Ribombee

Once you have Cutiefly in your collection, you’ll need to evolve it. To do so, you’ll need 50 Cutiefly Candy. The easiest way to get this candy is by catching as many Cutiefly as possible while the Spring into Spring event is ongoing. But if you’re having difficulty finding Cutiefly or want to save some time, add Cutiefly as your Buddy and start walking. It’ll take quite some time to get enough Candy to evolve Cutiefly with just candy obtained by walking, but isn’t Ribombee worth it?

Ribombee’s Move Set

Now that you have your Ribombee, it’s important to know its possible moveset. Ribombee has two possible fast moves: Fairy Wind and Struggle Bug, and two possible charged moves: Bug Buzz and Dazzling Gleam. Keep in mind that the moveset can be different for each Ribombee you encounter, so make sure to check the moveset before battling with it.

Using Ribombee in PvP

Unfortunately, Ribombee’s typing means that it has plenty of weaknesses, and Bug types aren’t particularly viable in the PvP arena. However, if you want to try using Ribombee in PvP, go ahead and give it a shot. Ribombee’s Fairy typing may give it a slight edge in certain situations.

Conclusion

Ribombee is a cute and charming Pokemon to add to your team, and it’s not too difficult to catch and evolve. Remember to catch as many Cutiefly as possible during the Spring into Spring event to make the evolution process easier. Once you have Ribombee, try out its moveset in battles and see if it can hold its own in the competitive PvP arena.
