Huawei phones will no longer have pre-installed apps like Facebook,Whatsapp and Instagram.

This action was taken in response to US Government action in May to bar US companies from using foreign telecom firms it regards as security risk.

This move by Facebook dampens the sales outlook for Huawei, facebook said they would continue to supply updates to existing huawei users, which is indeed good news for old and existing huawei users , but not so good for new users.

Huawei hasn’t commented on it yet though, but has said that they were prepared for the U.S action and vowed to work around any disruptions.

In china , where Facebook and Google are banned, that might not be a big deal, but for other countries such as in Europe, the lack of popular US-owned applications could make Huawei phones less attractive.
