Dan Levy revealed that there is a possibility for a Schitt’s Creek movie. The show became quite famous on Netflix. It has earned a lot of positive reviews from critics. Dan Levy did not expect that the show will become that famous on the streaming platform. The show ran for 5 years and ended in 2020. Since then, fans are asking for a reunion. Even though, it has only been a year since the show ended. Dan levy the star and the writer of the show revealed in an interview with People Magazine about the reunion movie:
“I don’t think there’s a single person on our team, cast or crew, that wouldn’t want to come back for a movie, I think the success of the show really was tied so closely to the care that was put into it and the quality that was put into it,” Levy said. “If I can come up with an idea that I think builds on what we’ve already done in a way that feels good and exciting and new and fresh and challenges our actors, then great. I go to sleep willing that idea to come to me.”
Dan Levy emphasized that the show’s success was due to the “quality” of the show. He does not want to rush anything. He is nervous that people might not like the new storyline if they rush it. He further said:
“I understand how quickly the legacy of a show can be tarnished by overextending itself. For me, it was so important that people walk away at the end of our show loving it as much as they did when they started.”
“It’s always good for people to miss you before you come back with something,” Levy told People. “So I think we’re going to let some time pass. And in that time, hopefully, I’ll get a little inkling of desire to start exploring more seriously.”
Will Tedd and Alexis reunite in the movie?
Fans did not expect a sad ending for the character “Alexis”. Things did not work for both of them as Ted moved to “Galapagos” island. Fans wanted a happy ending for the characters. But, they were still satisfied by the ending as Alexis’ character became more confident and independent. Dustin Milligan revealed his thoughts about Alexis and Ted’s relationship;
“The idea that I felt very strongly about was this notion that love alone is not enough to sustain a relationship,” Milligan says. “We want to believe that. We want to believe that once you’re in love, then that’s the end-all, be-all. But life gets in the way. Love is easy, life is hard. And that’s what I think this relationship represents in such a wonderful and realistic way.”
They might reunite in the movie the upcoming movie.
