Jensen Ackles Has Joined The Boys Season 3 as Soldier Boy

The Boys is a comic adapted TV show based on a vigilante team that fights against superheroes that abuses their powers. It is based on the comic book of the same name. The show is created by Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen. With Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty. The show first aired back in July 2019 and is still ongoing, Season 2 is coming this month. The Boys Season 3 has been renewed at Amazon.

Supernatural star Jensen Ackles is joining the cast as the Solider Boy, the first super. The Boys showrunner said:

When I was a child, I had a crazy, impossible dream — to provide Jensen Ackles with gainful employment. I’m happy to say that dream has come true. Jensen is an amazing actor, and even a better person, smells like warm chocolate chip cookies, and I consider him a brother. As Soldier Boy, the very first Superhero, he’ll bring so much humor, pathos, and danger to the role. I can’t wait to be on set with him again and bring a bit of Supernatural to The Boys.

Jensen Ackles is famous for his role in CW’s Supernatural, in which he plays the role of Dean Winchester. He also appeared in the Smallville TV series. He made the announcement on the Instagram saying “I keep wondering what I’ll do…. when Supernatural finally ends this year. Then it hit me”.

The Boys Season 3 was confirmed during the Comic Con while the season 2 is going to air on Amazon Prime on September 4, 2020.
