Adam Mason has directed a new movie “Songbird”, based on the pandemic. The movie does not have a release date yet. Riverdale’s KJ Apa and Descendants’ Sofia Carson Songbird is based on COVID-19 that has killed millions of people all around the world. However, Songbird Imagines the COVID-23 Virus. There is no vaccine for the virus yet. That is why a lot of people are criticizing the movie creators for making a movie on this sensitive topic. It is too early for a movie based o the virus. The virus is still active right now and it is still killing millions of people all around the globe.

The movie is similar to Romeo and Juliet according to Adam Mason. There are many movies that are based on viruses and other diseases. Bella Throne’s Midnight sun is pretty much similar to the upcoming movie but it is not based on the virus but a disease. However, it is not the first time Hollywood used real diseases and disorders. But, the movie is getting a lot of backlashes as we are still stuck in the pandemic. However, the movie famous cast. Demi Moore is also going to be a part of the movie alongside Sofia Carson and Kj Apa. Kj Apa has been doing a lot of projects lately and has come far from his Netflix days. Moreover, Songbird is the first feature film to be made during COVID-19 in Los Angeles about the Coronavirus itself.

According to Mason, the story is based on Romeo and Juliet but with COVID-19. There is a twist, Kj Apa’s character has immunity against the virus. However, the movie takes place in 2024. The world is still in lockdown and 110 million people have already died. In the year 2024, the corona-virus has a 50% mortality rate in the movie-making the virus deadlier in the movie.

However, even though plot is fictionalized , it still disturbed some people and they are taking over Twitter to show their feelings about the upcoming movie.

The COVID-23 virus has mutated and the world is in its fourth year of lockdown. Infected Americans are ripped from their homes and forced into quarantine camps known as Q-Zones, from which there is no escape, as a few brave souls fight back against the forces of oppression. Amid this dystopian landscape, a fearless courier, Nico (KJ Apa), who’s immune to the deadly pathogen, finds hope and love with Sara (Sofia Carson), though her lockdown prohibits them from physical contact. When Sara is believed to have become infected, Nico races desperately across the barren streets of Los Angeles in search of the only thing that can save her from imprisonment … or worse.

How they filmed the movie?

The movie was filmed in July. Even though all the countries all around the world. But, they still managed to shoot the movie. It was a difficult task and it was one of the first movies that were filmed during the lockdown. Andrew Sugerman, the co-head of invisible narratives said this about filming the movie in lockdown;

“Invisible Narratives as a business was already going down the road of figuring out how to have more agile productions with smaller crews that would really capture more authentic-style content. So, when the pandemic did hit, we were in a really good position because we used what we already identified what would have happened outside the pandemic to get this production up and running during the pandemic.”

The movie has no release date yet. The movie will be released in theatres. It is not confirmed if the movie will be available at any streaming site.

The trailer of the movie is out now. The trailer has 500k views on the video just in one day. It seems like it will become a hit, even if people are just watching it in support or for criticism.
