Recently, CW canceled The Vampire Diaries spinoff show ‘Legacies’ along with many other famous TV shows. The Vampire Diaries started airing in 2009 and ended in 2017. There are eight seasons of The Vampire Diaries. The spin-off series The Originals started airing in 2013 and ended in 2018. Currently, the spin-off series of The Originals “Legacies” is ongoing and airing on the CW. The show first aired back in 2018 after The Originals ended.
The spin-off show focuses on Tribrid, Hope Mikaelson, played by Danielle Rose Russell. She is the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson, an original vampire, who sacrificed his life so that Hope can live. Legacies Season 4 introduced Hope Mikaelson’s Original Vampire powers. She activated her Tribid powers. She also turned her emotions switched off this season.
Klaus Mikaelson died in The Originals, so he never appeared in the Legacies series. However, fans have been begging him to return since season 1 of the Legacies. Legacies creator Julie Plec has promised the fans that ‘Legacies’ Finale includes Mind-Blowing ‘Surprises’ for Vampire Diaries Fans. She said:
The season finales of both shows [Roswell and Legacies] were carefully crafted to also work as series finales. And there are a couple surprises for long-time #TVDU fans that may just blow your mind
She didn’t reveal the surprise. However, fans assume the surprise is going to be a character from The Vampire Diaries. There were rumors that Damon Salvatore or Elena Gilbert is going to appear in the Legacies Finale. However, the didn’t respond to any rumor yet. Candice King also showed interest in reprising her role as Caroline Forbes in ‘Legacies’ last year. Most probably, the surprise is “Candice King” returning for Legacies Finale as Caroline Forbes.
Legacies Finale: Will Klaus Mikaelson Return?
Fans also assumed that Joseph Morgan is returning as Klaus Mikaelson for the Legacies finale. After hearing about the rumors, Joseph Morgan said:
First of all, I haven’t seen any cast from the TVDU in years, not in person at least, I promise you that. All this speculation is gonna drive you crazy. Let go of these nonsense theories about hidden codes, Everyone knows Klaus Mikaelson is dead.” It’s worth noting that the tweet was formatted in such a way that the first letter of each new line spelled out “finale.
He ruled out the possibility of returning. However, they can bring Klaus Mikaelson back as they brought back many characters in The Vampire Diaries finale. Creators fast-forwarded the series to the point where “Elena found peace and reunited with her family” and Damon found his brother “Stefan”.
‘Legacies’ Finale is going to air on June 16.
