What Happened in Lookism 531?
Gun Park, who has been doing the heavy lifting for Charles Choi, is now in Prison. Previous Arc confirmed he has become the leader of the Japanese Yamazaki Clan and has been running the clan via proxies he set within the clan.
The release of Jinrang, the King of Busan, from prison is a huge development. Even Daniel felt his presence outside the prison, which means he is not someone to be taken lightly.
Lookism 531 brings us back to familiar ground as Daniel and Zoe return to J High. Zoe’s a bit annoyed because Daniel’s late, but he brushes it off, still keeping the secret of his second body under wraps. When they arrive at school, Jay, Mira, Zack, and the others give them a warm welcome.
The chapter takes a serious turn when Daniel receives a message from Diego Kang, better known as James Lee. He invites Daniel to a tailor shop, where he’s getting a new suit. During their chat, James asks Daniel how he feels about Charles Choi’s death, reminding him that Charles was the only one who knew about Daniel’s second body.
Daniel regrets not stopping Charles sooner, knowing too many lives were lost because of him. He resolves to act faster in the future to stop evil before it spreads.
James Lee, however, has grander plans. He dreams of a society free from evil and offers Daniel a place by his side. Although Charles is gone, his influence lingers in Busan, where a dangerous figure named Jinrang, the “King of Busan,” has taken control.
Jinrang’s recent release from prison has reignited old threats, and James needs Daniel’s help to confront this new menace.
However, Daniel’s not interested in being James’s sidekick—he just wants to stop another Charles Choi from rising to power.
Meanwhile, Kitae Kim quietly observes the conversation. With many believing James Lee killed Gapryong Kim, tensions with the King of Busan are inevitable, and James knows he’ll need allies.
As Daniel gears up for Busan, he calls Zack, Vasco, Jay, Hudson, and more friends to join him. Unexpectedly, Daniel is already in the car with Jaegyeon Na, the King of Incheon, who warns that seven friends won’t be enough against the first-generation fighters. Jaegyeon calls in more of his “king buddies,” setting up what’s bound to be a massive showdown in the Lookism 532.
