Lucifer has been one of the famous series on Netflix and is a Netflix Original. The show has released four seasons till now. People are quite hooked to the series. The show has good ratings as well and millions of viewers watch the series on Netflix.

But it was not always like this. The show first aired on Fox channel, but after season 1 and season 2 they tried to cancel the show sadly. But then Netflix came into the scene like a hero and saved the show from being canceled.

Lucifer Season 5 releasing on netflix

The season 2 and season 3 of the show was released in 2016. The third season released in 2017. Fans got the season 4 in 2019 after so many requests and petitions.

But the show is going to end and many people have thoughts about the show ending. Many people agree that they should end the show and do not street it any further.

“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms,” said showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich. “Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come.”

Modrovich shared a letter to the show’s fans on Twitter in which she addressed the news that season five would be it’s last:

“Hello, beloved Lucifam! We know there’s been a lot of confusion over the recent announcement that is our last season. Many are wondering if they should fight for more? While we feel just as sad as many of you do that this marvelous ride is coming to an end, a fight won’t change things right now.”

The plot of Lucifer Season 5

They have a unique ending plot of Lucifer in Lucifer Season 5. Instead of keeping Lucifer on the Earth they are going to put him back in the hell. In the end, Lucifer belongs in hell. It makes sense. But Lucifer is a changed man person now you could say not a person but angel. He is changed, has now perspective well about his life in hell. He has a duty to fulfill. It may seem strange but it does make sense.

Henderson told Entertainment Weekly: “Here’s the thing: We loved working with Inbar. As you can see in the season, she’s absolutely fantastic.

“The question becomes, as we get into our room, how many stories would we have for that character? We set her off on an amazing new starting point for her life, so I think that’s one of the first things we’ll discuss. My hope is, in whatever way, that’s not the last you’ve seen of Eve.”

Lucifer is also going to spend time with his father in the last season.

Ellis also admitted during a recent Lucifer fan convention that he will struggle when the show comes to an end:

“I can categorically say that I will never have another experience like this. When they call cut on the last day, it’s going to be a lot to take in.”

Release date

They are going to release the series probably at the mid of the year. It makes sense that they will release the season 5 of the show in the mid of 2020. We are going to get the final season of the show and fans are excited all around the world.

Lucifer Season 5 was going to have 10 episodes at first, but later they confirmed the news via twitter that the show is set for 16 episodes.

Season 3 had 26 episodes, and the last episode was a non-canon, showing an alternate reality, while season 2 had 18 episodes. Season 4, fans most favorite had 10 episodes, in which we finally saw our most awaited scene of Lucifer and Chloe, they both expressed their love, but sadly, Lucifer had to go in order to protect Earth from the demons.

Bored being the ruler of Hell, lucifer decides to visit Los Angeles, where he ends up owning a nightclub and starts giving out favors to people. When his friend, a pop-star gets murdered in cold blood he forms a connection with a homicide detective.

Lucifer Season 2

In Season 2, Lucifer’s Mom finds a way to escape hell and decides to visit Earth to meet her son, she ends up possessing Charlotte Richards Body.

It was one of the most amazing season of Lucifer TV Series. We get to see Lucifer vs the Immortal Cain. Lucifer ends up killing him as he promised him to do so. In the end, Chloe finds out Lucifer really is the Devil which devastates her.

Lucifer Season 4

Lucifer Season 4 was one of the most amazing and emotional season, as Chloe had found out about the truth, that Lucifer is the Devil walking the Earth, and she was conflicted as she was told about a prophecy in which lucifer will bring chaos on the Earth. In the end, we finally get to see the confession of Chloe that she loves Lucifer, but Lucifer gotta fulfill his duty in order to protect Earth from demons roaming around the Earth.


We hope season 5 is also going to amaze and thrill us as the previous seasons did, we expect a lot from lucifer, as it is one of the most fan’s most favorite series on Netflix and is the final season of Lucifer. Also, everybody loves this show because he is LUCIFER BLOODY MORNING STAR
