The Exorcist is a book that was released in 1971. It was written by William Peter Blatty. He was a distinct and remarkable writer. His book follows the story of a little girl named Regan Macneil. She is the daughter of a very famous actress in the book.
Regan gets possessed when her mother brought a possessed Ancient relic into her house. It was believed that the relic had something a demon presence that started to cause all her problems.
Her daughter started to exhibit strange behavior. She stopped eating, sleeping. She also became very violent. Then one day the strange behavior changed into horrifying things.
She went to many doctors to get her doctor fixed. she did every test she could but one of the doctors advised her to take to a priest as the behavior of the girl started to become more extreme.

He promises the mother that he will come and take a look at her daughter. After any meetings and the debates about faith and god with the demon-possessed girl, the priest becomes sure that the girl is possessed by a dangerous demon. he asks permission from the local Bishop for exorcism but the bishop insists that he take experienced Merrin with him.
The exorcism starts and after a few tries, Merrin dies and all the responsibilities fall on Karras’ shoulder. He makes a deal with the devil that he can have his body and leave the girl’s body.
The devil agrees and tranfer into karras’s body. Karras then kills himself by jumping out of the window.
The film is exactly based on the plot describes upon the pages of the book. The book is realistic and the way it tells you a story of a little girl being possessed just leaves you speechless. The movie also gained popularity and much recognization from people all around the world.
