Bird Box was released back in 2018. It is a Netflix movie that got pretty famous. Everyone was talking about the movie on the internet. People created many memes and even started a challenge. Netflix had to put a disclaimer to stop the viewers from doing anything dangerous.
Sandra Bullock is excited to come back. The movie is based on the book by the same name. Josh Malerman is the writer of the book.
Josh is working on another book. If the new book is coming then it will also open a door for the sequel.

The book was first released in 2014. The movie was released 4 years after that. Everybody liked the book as well. But there are some characters that were added later. But he was happy they kept the real story and the creatures.
Josh revealed a lot of information in his interview with Esquire.com. There are is not much information about the movie yet. But, if the book is coming then the movie will be coming as well.
He said in an interview with Esquire about the success of the movie:
“The book came out in 2014, and this movie comes out and it erupts. So from my angle, it’s especially almost fantastical to see these characters I’ve been with since 2006 on the screen and in memes and on the cover of the book. It’s flattering, it’s an honor, it’s surreal… It’s really something else, man.”
It was because of the success of the bird box, they released “A quiet place”. A quiet place became famous among bird box fans as well. People like this kind of story and movies including creatures and aliens.
What to expect from the Bird Box sequel?
There is a new book on Malorie. According to Josh, he is more interested in Malorie’s story. Josh wanted to know more about the character. He said that he really does not care what happens to the boy and the girl.
Josh Malerman answered about the question of the sequel and said this:
“In the time between Bird Box coming out and the time since I’ve been writing Malorie, I’ve been asked a ton of times: people want to know what happened with Boy and Girl. But as much as I care about Boy and Girl, this isn’t their story. The Bird Box world is Malorie’s story, and I wanted to know more about her. I wanted to get to know her even better. At the end of the movie, I turned to my girl Allison and said, “I want to know what happens next!” and she’s like, “Well, you know, you could make that happen,” so it really was this warm feeling.”
Cast
There were many characters that were not present in the book. Felix and the nurse Jackie and Lucy all of them created for the movie. We do not know who is coming back and which new faces are joining the sequel.
