K-pop is taking over the world there is no doubt about it. However, CL was one of the few music artists that opened the way for K-pop in the US. But, lately different k-pop bands are taking over the USA music charts. BLACKPINK is also a famous k-pop band if you do not know about them. BLACKPINK first released their album BLACKPINK IN YOUR AREA in 2018. The album was in the Japanese language. However, the album did well on the music charts making them famous world-wide.
Each group member of the band is talented and loved by the fans. Each of them has a huge fan following on their social media accounts. The band members are often hanging out with big profile American artists as well. BLACKPINK is also with Ariana Grande. However, the Korean brand is becoming famous worldwide. Kpop bands BTS and BLACKPINK are breaking records even in the US.
The band also collaborated with many famous American artists. The k-pop band recently collaborated with Selena Gomez. The song was featured in their “The Album” album released in 2020. The song received millions of views on youtube breaking several records as usual. However, the band also collaborated with Lady Gaga for her new album “Chromatica”. There are many upcoming projects that will feature more American artists.
What is the BLACKPINK documentary about?
The Blackpink documentary is going to give us a glimpse into BLACKPINK’s member’s lives. How they make their music videos, how they manage the world tours. Basically, how the Korean girl-band is taking over the world. We will see some unseen footage of the band. Netflix is excited to release this documentary as K-pop fans are increasing day by day. The title of the new documentary is Light up the sky.

Release date
The documentary will be released on October 14 worldwide. There are many documentaries available on the platform. In 2020 Taylor Swift’s Miss Americana was also released on Netflix. You will find many documentaries based on different music artists.
