A Bridgerton spin-off “Charlotte” is going to release on Netflix. Bridgerton has become a huge hit on the streaming platform. The show was watched by 63 million people on the streaming platform. Bridgerton is the 5th most-watched show on Netflix to this date. Fans are excited for the upcoming season of the show. However, Netflix is working on another show too.

Shonda Rhimes is producing the spin-off show based on Queen Charlotte. The show will also follow the story of Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury. Queen Charlotte is a real historical figure. The character was not originally in the books but the character was added in the show. According to Shonda Rhimes, “It was the best decision”.’

And will you write it?’ I’m very obsessed with Queen Charlotte, and I always call her the Beyoncé of the show,”.I’m constantly saying out loud, ‘God, I love her wigs somehow hoping that somebody will send me one of her wigs so that I can walk around wearing it.”

Plot

The show will focus on Queen Charlotte’s story. We will see the origin of the character. The historical figure Queen Charlotte was Queen of Great Brittian. However, it is not confirmed yet if the show’s character is completely based on the Queen. Julia Quinn the writer of the book is glad that she did not write in her books because her character in the show is amazing. People are also curious if the real Queen Charlotte was black or not. One historian says that she was black. However, Julia Quinn shared her thoughts in an interview;

“I don’t think it’s ever going to be proven or disproven, to be honest with you,” Quinn says. “But let’s say she was Black. And what if that was accepted at the time and people acknowledge that, and then she used that position to lift other people of color to higher positions in society. What would society look like?”
