Netflix’s German Original Thriller series “Dark” came with it’s third and final season today. Netflix Dark first aired back in 2017 and ended today in 2020. The plot of the series revolves around Time-travel conspiracy, quantum physics, and the secrets of four families in a small German town. Netflix Dark Season 3 uncovered every cliffhanger that we were left with Season 2.
Dark Season 2 ended with Martha’s death and the entrance of a new Martha from a different world. Jonas, who was not even supposed to exist in the first place, met his future selves in his journey of time traveling. Season 2 left us with huge cliffhangers, like who Adam really is? and where this time travel conspiracy originated.
Netflix Dark Season 3 continued from where season 2 ended, Martha’s death. As soon as Adam kills Martha of Jonas’s world another one from another world appears. She explains there is another world and takes Jonas to her world. Her world was different from Jonas’s because Jonas didn’t exist in this world. Mikkel Nielsen never disappeared in this world, so he never met Hannah in the past, and Jonas was never born. Jonas always thought if he saved Mikkel from disappearing, all things happened wouldn’t have happened. This new world proved him wrong. Everything happened, a little different, but they did. So, Mikkel was not the cause. Martha from the other world then stays in Jonas’s world and Jonas is stuck in Martha’s world. There he meets a future version of Martha who then explains everything to Jonas.

Adam is Jonas
In season 3, it is then revealed that Jonas is actually Adam, the future version of Jonas. Jonas then meets the Martha younger version in the second world and explains to him everything. Later, Martha then kills Jonas to stop Jonas from becoming Adam. However, it does not stop Jonas from becoming Adam. Jonas and Martha are basically Adam and Eve.
How did Jonas survive after getting shot in Netflix Dark Season 3?
He didn’t, he died in the other world. However, time-traveling is a little complex than that. In another reality, another version of Jonas did not go to Martha’s world. Because of a past version Martha never arrived there. So, he never traveled to that world, hence he never got shot.
There’s a switch point in the loop of time. The moment which causes things to run in one direction or the other. You bring him to our world or you don’t. Two overlapping realities.
Adam was wrong: Third World Exist
Adam thought the origin of everything was what was growing inside Martha’s body. He thought Martha’s son is the origin. In order to destroy the knot between both worlds, Adam has to kill Martha to stop the origin. However, in the last episode, it was revealed Martha’s son was not the actual origin. Another world exists, the origin world, where everything started.
Jonas and Martha are to blame for everything that happened again and again. You must send them to the origin world, so they can finally end all this
The question is not “What Time” but “Which World” Adam says to Jonas.

The Origin World created Jonas and Martha’s world
“Today is June 21, 1986”, the day our two worlds were created. Tannhaus, the clockmaker was the cause of all the time-travel conspiracy that has happened. His son and his granddaughter die in a car accident, and he comes up with a way to time travel and stops this from ever happening which creates two worlds.
We are bringing someone back from the dead.
You and i. we are the mistake.
Jonas and Martha travel to the origin world to stop the car accident from ever happening. So, Tannhaus would never try his experiment and two worlds won’t exist anymore.
Finally Jonas and Martha stops the accident from happening and two worlds seize to exist along with Martha and Jonas.
