Netflix will add new content for the spooky season. Every year Netflix adds horror and thrilling content in the fall near Halloween. Netflix capitalizes on their own term “Netflix and Chill” to promote their Halloween lineup. So, we will see more chilling Netflix Horror movies and series on the streaming platform in the next upcoming days.

The upcoming shows and movies include Stephen King’s “Mr.Harrigan’s phone”, a new season of Netflix’s show “Unsolved Mysteries”, Tim Burton’s “Wednesday”, a new documentary on Jeffrey Dahmer, Mike Flanagan’s “The Midnight Club” and more.

The lineup has already started with the release of the movie “End of the road“. The movie is about a divorced woman named Brenda that drives up to Mexico City with her family but they all end up becoming targets of a mysterious killer. The movie stars Queen Latifah and Ludacris.

Mr. Harrigan’s phone

Mr. Harrigan’s phone is based on a short story by Stephen King. The movie is produced by Ryan Murphy and it is part of his Netflix deal. Also, John Lee Hancock directed and wrote the screenplay for the movie. Hancock is famous for movies like “The Blindside” and “The Highwaymen”.

The upcoming movie is about a young guy who becomes friends with an old billionaire. Both of them become close when they bond with other on the old man’s first iPhone. However, things become spooky when the man dies and the guy is still able to contact his friend by leaving a voicemail on his phone.

The upcoming movie will release on October 5, 2022. The production of the movie started in October 2020 and ended in December 2020. The cast includes Kirby Howell-Baptiste (The Sandman), Jaeden Martell (IT), and  Donald Sutherland.

The Midnight Club

Mike Flanagan’s new series “The Midnight Club” will be available on October, 7. Flanagan revealed that the show has more “Jumpscares” and fewer monologues.

The Midnight Club is based on Christopher Pike’s young adult novel of the same name. The book follows the story of a group of seven terminally ill teenagers. They gather every midnight to tell each other stories. The teens decide to make a pact in which if the first member of the group dies from their disease must communicate with the other six beyond the grave. But, things become strange when one of the friends dies and supernatural and eerie incidents start to happen.

Netflix Wednesday

Fans of the famous director Tim Burton are excited about the director’s first-ever project “Wednesday” with Netflix. Burton is known for his iconic movie like The Beetlejuice, “Edward Scissorhands”, and “Alice in wonderland”.

The show is about Wednesday Addams misadventures as a student at Nevermore Academy: a very unique boarding school snuggled in deepest New England. Jenna Ortega will play “Wednesday Addams” in the series.

Unsolved Mysteries

The show’s season 3 will release as three weekly episodes on the streaming platform starting from Oct 18 to Nov 1. Each episode is based on a chilling mystery.

Conversation with a Killer: the Jeffrey Dahmer Tapes

Joe Berlinger’s Conversation with a Killer is renewed for season 3. The show’s season 3 is about America’s notorious killer and cannibal “Jeffrey Dahmer”. Also, Netflix is also releasing another project this year starring Evan Peters as the Milwaukee cannibal. Berlinger revealed in an interview that he wants to explore more of the “golden age of the killers” if Netflix decides to renew the show for more seasons in the future. Season 3 of the show will release on October 7th.
