Recently, Riverdale spinoff shows “Katy Keene” and “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” got canceled by the Netflix. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina first aired back in 2018. It has three seasons till now and is renewed for a fourth, which is going to be last. Katy Keene was released recently this year and got canceled by CW. Only Archie-verse remaining is Riverdale, which first started airing back in 2017. Riverdale is still ongoing. There are currently four seasons. However, the latest season didn’t complete airing because of the pandemic. The show is renewed for a fifth season.
Sabrina fans are disheartened by the fact that Netflix chose to cancel Chilling Adventures of Sabrina but not Riverdale. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has a rating of 7.6/10 while Riverdale has a 7/10 rating. Lately, Riverdale is getting a lot of bad reviews because of the plot.
This show makes no sense, the first season is pretty good but the rest of the seasons are just terrible. They talk like they’re in the medieval times when they’re just teenagers. No teenagers talk like that or act like that. I feel like the writers to this show are 12 years old writing fanfiction.

So the question arises, why Netflix chose not to cancel Riverdale? It’s because they can not. CW owns the show. Why would CW choose to keep it going? Because the cast now has huge fan-following. Fans watch it for the cast now not for the plot anymore. It’s a fact. However, fans are still watching the show even though the plot makes no sense. So, CW still makes enough money from the show.

Can Netflix bring Chilling Adventures of Sabrina back?
While Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is canceled, fan outrage might make Netflix reconsider their decision. Netflix has yet to comment on this cancellation. Recently, Netflix saved Lucifer from getting canceled and the show is now renewed for another season. Tom Ellis, who plays the role of Lucifer, came up with an agreement. There is a petition going on to save CAOS.

Witch War is a still-ongoing story for Sabrina in the comics, that sees the residents of Greendale and Riverdale, with a witch rivalry set up between Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka), Betty (Lily Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes).
Riverdale Season 5 will air next year, while Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 4 will air this year.
