Netflix’s Marvel Daredevil Revival

Netflix’s Marvel Daredevil series was first released back in 2015 and became a hit after the release. It’s based on Marvel’s comic book hero Daredevil, Matt Murdock, who got blinded but got a super-power in exchange. He is a lawyer by day and fights criminals at night as a vigilante. Being blinded heightened his other senses such as his hearing. He became the devil of Hell’s kitchen. Netflix’s Marvel Daredevil Show was canceled back in 2018. Even though the show had a good rating and response from the critics, the show got canceled. Netflix canceled the show when Disney announced that they are going to have their own streaming service in 2018.

Disney+ could not use the character until 29th November 2020 because of the Netflix contract with Marvel Studios. But, now that it’s been two years since the cancelation of the show and the contract has expired, Disney+ and Marvel studios can use the character now. The show was canceled on 29th November 2018. It has been two years now since Netflix’s Marvel Daredevil was canceled and now it is finally the time to re-introduce this character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and bring back Charlie Cox for the role.

Netflix and Marvel both had a contract. Marvel can not use the characters after two years of the cancellation of the shows. Netflix invests a lot in TV shows. That is why Marvel had to wait for two years to use these characters in their movies and TV shows. This contract happened back in 2018. Netflix came up with its own comic book universe. There are shows like The Umbrella Academy which are basically Netflix Original and have gained massive amounts of the audience in such a short time.

There were rumors on the internet a few days ago that Matt Murdock might be included in spider-man 3. However, Charlie Cox denied all the rumors saying if that happened “someone else ” would be wearing the mask, not Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. However, MCU might have something great for the character that is loved by many.

No More Marvel Daredevil on Netflix

However, even though Netflix cancels the shows all the time, but fans are worried they might try to create a season 4 of the show considering the demand. Netflix is popular for canceling all the superhero shows. Jessica Jones, the Punisher, and Daredevil all got canceled and it had left fans angry towards the streaming service. However, fans are demanding that MCU and Disney+ should come forward to save the show. Even Vincent D’Onofrio, who played the role of the kingpin in the Daredevil series, is urging fans to sign the petition to save the Daredevil.

Fans are tweeting on Twitter in the support of the show. #SaveDaredevil is trending as yesterday was the canceling anniversary of the show. Some of the tweets were sending direct hate towards Netflix, the streaming service giant. Netflix is under fire for canceling a lot of good shows this year and keeping “Riverdale”. However, Marvel Daredevil fans are glad that they can finally see Daredevil again, as they are planning something exciting for Daredevil. Charlie Cox is also up for playing the Daredevil role one more time.
