Peaky blinders season 5 ended with a lot of thrill and a cliffhanger. We got to see Sam Claflin as a racist Oswald Mosley. His acting was highly praised by the critics leaving his rom-com reputation behind. However, season 5 ended with a cliffhanger where we saw a glimpse of Thomas’s madness. The show has been renewed for another season as well.
However, the sad news is that we might not get the new season of the show in a while. The situation is not yet safe for shooting. A lot of projects both T.Vans big screens have been delayed. But, we have got information regarding the upcoming season.

List of actors that can make an appearance
A lot of actors over the years have shown interest in the show. Big names like Brad Pitt and Snoop dog wanted to contribute in the show.
Paul Anderson who plays Arthur Shelby on the show shared a picture alongside Cillian Murphy on his Instagram. He tagged multiple people in the picture including Bella Thorne.
However, Steven Knight who is the writer of the show revealed the list of the people who might appear on the show in an interview.
We get a lot of people who get in touch and want to take part, there’s Brad Pitt, Snoop Dogg, A$AP Rocky, too.
“I think in series six we will open the door a little to get some celebrity actors in.”
Knight has previously opened up about having discussions with rapper Snoop Dogg about the show.
He continued:
“We’ve had an amazing response from famous people for some reason.
“My agent got a call saying Snoop’s coming to London, he wants to meet two people, and you’re one of them!”
David Beckham is also included in that list. He is a fan of the show as well and there are rumors that he might appear in the coming season..
Peaky Blinders Season 6 is delayed according to Anthony
Cillian Murphy was only 3 days away from getting Peaky blinders hair-cut, But due to the pandemic, the shooting has been canceled for now.
Murphy loves the character, But absolutely hates the hairstyle. In the recent interview with Graham Norton, he showed his dislike regarding the peaky blinders’ haircut.
Anthony Byrne who is the director of the show said this in a recent interview with Digital Spy:
“We were five days away from filming and Cillian was three days away from having his hair cut” explained Anthony, before joking: “There is part of me that wished he had had his hair cut and then we shut down!”
He also talked about the new release date of the show. It seems like we have to wait for a while. However, if the situation becomes better we might get the Peaky Blinders Season 6 way more sooner than we expect.
Anthony said this in an interveiw:
“If we did start shooting in January (2021), we wouldn’t finish until May or June, and then it’s another 6 months of editing.”
But sadly the situation is not better now and it seems like it might take some time.
Anthony Byrne was glad that shooting did not start
Anthony said in his interview with Digital Spy, how glad he is that shooting has not started yet;
“I was very pleased that we didn’t start filming, because if we had of filmed for two weeks and then we’re not picking up until the end of the year or next year, or whenever we get back up and running, you would more than likely go back and look at the two weeks and go we can’t use any of this stuff.
“Or we can use it, but we want to change other aspects of the script with time. The realistic practicalities of filming now have changed. Taking those into account, how we safely mount the production again and bring the cast and crew back, how we regulate it and how we run it. It’s a completely new world.”
