Samsung Galaxy S21 Series

Samsung Galaxy S21 Specs, Price, and Release Date

Samsung’s upcoming flagship “Samsung Galaxy S21” will be released in early 2021. However, the rumors and leaks are already circulating on the internet. Samsung launched two models of the Note series this year, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra, both featuring flagship specs. This 6.9 inches new edition to Note series is a beast considering its specifications. Back in February, Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 series, which had 3 variants, S20, S20+, and S20+ Ultra. Both Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and S20 Ultra have similar specifications, however, as usual, Note 20 Ultra comes with an S-pen.

There were four models of S20 Series, S20 5G, S20+ 5G, S20 Ultra, and the Fan Edition S20. However, there are going to be three models in the S21 line-up (S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra). They might come up with a Fan Edition model later just like S20 did. All three models are powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful and most energy-efficient chipset “Snapdragon 875“. We pretty much now know everything about Samsung’s latest upcoming flagship phone because of the rumors and the leaks on the Internet. Normally Samsung releases its S-series lineup in February. However, they’ll be launching Samsung Galaxy S21 a bit early than usual. Rumors suggest that it will be launched in January next year.

Design and Display

From the renders that surfaced on Twitter. Samsung Galaxy S21 is said to have a 6.2″ screen-size which seems to remain unchanged because S20 had the same screen-size. Most of the display features remain unchanged like refresh-rate, resolution, screen size, etc. It will come with a Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the Ultra-model will be getting an upgrade, a higher-resolution 1440p LTPO display. According to the leaks, there are only four colors available in the S20 Model,  Phantom Violet, Phantom Gray, Phantom White, and Phantom Pink. Samsung seems to be bringing major design and display upgrades only in the Ultra model. There are three cameras on the back of the phone which is also similar to the camera line-up on the S20.

There are three S21 models expected— a standard, a Plus and an Ultra. According to Android Police, the S21 will have a 6.2-inch display, the Plus will be 6.7 inches and the Ultra will reportedly have a 6.8-inch display.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Specifications and Features

As mentioned above, Samsung Galaxy S21 is powered with the Qualcomm’s most power-full chipset, Snapdragon 875. However, the Snapdragon 875 model will be only available in the USA, Exynos 2100 model will be released for other regions. Qualcomm will announce its upcoming chipset next month at the Qualcomm’s annual conference. A 20-25% performance boost is expected in the Snapdragon 875 since it is most likely going to feature the Cortex-A78 or the Cortex-X1. The cortex-X1 is said to be more powerful core than the Cortex-A78. However, X1 is more power hungry. Currently, we don’t know how Snapdragon 875 is going to do against the Apple’s latest A14 Bionic chipset which is right now considered to be the strongest and fastest chipset.

Apple recently launched the iPhone 12 series with four models. All four models are powered by the Apple A14 Bionic chipset. For Samsung to compete against iPhone 12, Snapdragon 875 needs to be stronger than the A14 Chipset. Samsung Galaxy S21 Series will come with One UI 3.1 and Android 11 out of the box. Most likely, the Galaxy S21 is going to have 8GB RAM.
