Snapchat Web: Snapchat is launching a desktop version of its app

Like WhatsApp, Snapchat announced a web version of its application. A few weeks ago, snap began offering an optional subscription to its users “Snapchat Plus” that allows access to exclusive and early access features. This subscription costs only 3.99$ and is only available in a few regions right now. Snapchat Web will allow users to send snaps to friends. Moreover, you can also chat and video call on the desktop version of Snapchat.

Currently, the feature is only available to users that have purchased the “Snapchat Plus” subscription.

Open your laptop and head to using Chrome to start a call or pick up where chats left off on mobile. With more than 100 million Snapchatters using our voice and video calling each month on average, we’re excited to offer a new way for our community to keep conversations going on their computers, where they’re already working, learning, and browsing.

The Desktop version of Snapchat is currently available in France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. However, they are rolling it out to all the users around the world soon. Video call, text messaging, regular calls and Snaps sharing is possible on the Desktop version.
