Diablo 4 is an amazing game that brings a world of demons, treasures, and adventures to players. However, it’s not without its share of technical hiccups, one of which is the issue where players get stuck on “Reconnecting to Diablo IV.” If you find yourself facing this problem, worry not. In this guide, we will explore some potential solutions to help you get back into the game and continue your demon-slaying journey.
When i log into my account (both in character selection and in game) i’m constantly seeing ‘Reconnecting to Diablo IV’ at the top left of the screen. I am unable to see any of my friends list, or play with other people.
So far i have tried deleting the diablo 4 folder in documents and rescan/repairing the install, have tried just leaving the character logged in to see if it ever connects to D4, no joy.
I have tried both with and without a VPN connected.
All the time i’ve been trying this, another person in my house (sat 5 feet from me), so on the same internet connection) is playing fine.
Any idea whats going on?

How To Fix Diablo 4 Season 2 Stuck on “Reconnecting to Diablo IV”
Check Server Status
First things first, it’s a good idea to check the server status. Sometimes, these kinds of issues are related to server problems. You can usually find server status updates on the official Diablo 4 website or the game’s social media channels. If there’s a known server problem, you may have to wait for it to be resolved.
Verify Your Internet Connection
A stable and reliable internet connection is vital for online games like Diablo 4. Ensure that your internet connection is strong and that you are not experiencing any network issues. A weak or unstable connection can lead to disconnection problems.
Restart the Game
Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connection issues. Close the game completely and relaunch it. This can help clear any temporary glitches that might be causing the “Reconnecting to Diablo IV” problem.
Update the Game
Make sure your game is up to date with the latest patches and updates. Developers regularly release patches to address known issues and improve game performance. Check for updates through your game launcher or console.
Check Firewall and Security Software
Firewalls and security software can sometimes block the game from connecting to the server. Ensure that Diablo 4 has the necessary permissions to communicate over your network. You may need to add the game to your firewall’s exceptions list.
Reset Your Network Equipment
If you suspect network issues, try resetting your modem or router. Unplugging them for a minute and then plugging them back in can often resolve connectivity problems.
If none of the above solutions work, it’s a good idea to reach out to the game’s customer support. They may have specific suggestions for your situation, or they can help investigate the issue further to identify a fix.

While the “Reconnecting to Diablo IV” issue can be frustrating, it’s usually a technical problem that can be resolved with some troubleshooting.
