Breaking Bad is an American crime-drama produced by Vince Gilligan. The show first aired back in 2008 and ended in 2013, having five seasons. Breaking Bad is considered to be the best TV Show of all times, and has received numerous awards. The show revolves around a chemistry teacher, Walter White, who is diagnosed by 3rd stage cancer. Keeping in mind, he is going to die in a few months, turns to crime along with his former high school student Jesse Pinkman. They start producing and meth in order to secure the Walter family’s financial health. While they expand their business, Walter takes on the name “Heisenberg” in the criminal underworld.

Better Call Saul is the prequel of the Breaking Bad, first aired back in 2015 and is still ongoing, there are five seasons up till now. The show is renewed for the sixth and last season. While it is the prequel of Breaking Bad, the story is quite different, it revolves around a lawyer Jimmy McGill, who suffers a series of tragedies and trials. Later he turns to crime and starts protecting criminals and thus becomes Saul Goodman, a criminal lawyer. As show focuses on a timeline before breaking bad, so most of the cast are the same.

AMC announced a Docuseries The Broken and The Bad, inspired by Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Giancarlo Esposito, who played the role of Gus Fring in both TV Series, is going to host this new docuseries.

What is The Broken and The Bad About?

The Broken and The Bad is going to focus on moments from both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul and going to tie them to real-life stories.

Inspired by the most memorable characters, situations, and themes of the Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad universe and focuses on the real-world stories that mirror the fictional worlds of both shows.

Giancarlo Esposito will guide the series as it will explore the psychology of hitmen, con artists, drug dealers, etc. The Docuseries will air on July 9th, 2020.
