Mike Flanagan is bringing another horror show to Netflix “The Fall of the House of Usher“. Flanagan is the creator of Netflix’s famous horror shows that include The Haunting of Hill house, Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and The Midnight Club. All of the series by Flanagan has received mostly positive reviews from critics and the audience. The upcoming series is directed by Mike Flanagan. Intrepid Pictures will produce the upcoming series which also collaborated with Flanagan on previous projects.
The Fall of the House of Usher Release Date
The filming of the upcoming show started on January 31, 2022, and it ended on May 25th, 2022. The upcoming horror series is filmed in Vancouver, Canada. Katy Seigel and other actors included in the projects also shared pictures from the set back in 2022 confirming the filming of the series. It is hard to say anything about the release date of the series yet. However, Flanagan’s previous series was released in October, so the upcoming series is expected to release on Netflix in October 2023.
Mike Flanagan also shared a tweet on July 9th and called the upcoming series “challenging”.

Plot
The upcoming series is based on the book by Edgar Allan Poe Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque. The previous Flanagan series Haunting of Hill, Bly Manor, and The Midnight club were also based on the books. According to the official logline of the series, it has themes like madness, isolation, family, and metaphysical identities. The official synopsis of the series is
“The drama is based on multiple works from Edgar Allan Poe, it features themes of madness, family, isolation, and metaphysical identities. The Fall of the House of Usher is narrated by a man who has been invited to visit his childhood friend Roderick Usher. Usher gradually makes clear that his twin sister Madeline has been placed in the family vault not quite dead. When she reappears in her blood-stained shroud, the visitor rushes to leave as the entire house splits and sinks into a lake.”
Cast
The upcoming series has the same faces as Flanagan’s other projects for Netflix. Katy Siegel, Rahu Kohli, Zach Gilford, Henry Thomas, Michael Trucco, and Carl Gugino. Mary McDonnell, Mark Hamill, and Paola Nuñez also appeared in the series.
