How to Play The Last of Us Part 1 on 4GB VRAM Graphics Card

The Last of Us Part 1 is Poorly Optimized for PC

Honestly, we were all hyped up about the release of this Legendary game on PC. But, as soon as the game dropped on Steam, players started facing a ton of problems. These weren’t any problems… but rather, the worst any player has seen recently in AAA titled games. Here’s our Review on The Last of US Part 1 is Poorly Optimized for PC.

The Solution to All the Known Fixes for Last of Us Part 1 PC are mentioned below;

Why are people Calling it Poorly Optimized?

For the most part, there is a Port that is responsible for converting and optimizing the game from a Console to a PC.

Previously, The Last of Us was a game exclusive to Play Station members, but soon we got the reports of developers turning toward PC. You can say that the developers messed it up when they gave the wrong Port.

Iron Galaxy messed up

This is where Iron Galaxy comes into consideration. Naughty Dog – Developers of The Last of Us gave the responsibility to Iron Galaxy who is known to never optimize the game, as seen with Uncharted.

The game started having unusual errors, glitches, bugs, and strange behavior. All the excitement turned into sorrow and then gamers got angry.

All Issues in The Last of Us Part 1 PC

So, when you download the game and start it. The first thing you get is the Loading Error

Loading Error Explained!

In the Loading Error, the game gets stuck at the start. There is complete silence here and no one knows how to fix it. Then you restart the game several times and try your luck. It might go onward, presenting you with Shaders

Loading Shaders Explained!

Now, you will be stuck with that Shader Loading. It goes on and on and on for eternity. Meanwhile, you will have various crashes.

Crashes Explained!

The game usually crashes after every 10 to 15 minutes, but when there are shaders, it will crash after 5 minutes. Going onwards with that, you will face Extremely high VRAM usage

High VRAM Usage Explained!

Now you are in the game and then all of a sudden you have High VRAM Usage, resulting in FPS drops, game lagging, stuttering, and so on. No need to go into the details of those issues… am I right?

Movement, Mouse, and Controller Issues

When you are playing the game, there is a laggy mouse input and that same issue is with the Controller. You can fix the controller one by turning Steam Control Input Off in the Properties of the game, but there is no fix for the Mouse or the Movement one.

It could be the PC Specs, right?

No, totally wrong, and here all the stuff starts to crumble and you even question your existence. Both the players with high High-End PC Specs like 4xxx series Graphics cards and i7 11th gen or above, and ones with 1050ti to 1660 ti or even 1080 ti with i7 4th gen or similar had the same issue.

They had the same CPU/GPU heating, VRAM excessive use, FPS Drop, Lagging, Stuttering, Loading, Shaders Load Up, and Crashing issues. Nothing has changed.

What about Purchasing… Should I buy it?

No, you shouldn’t and that’s from the bottom of my heart. The port is just terrible. It isn’t about the PC specs now because even high-end PC players have the same issues.

It isn’t about our GPU being slow to prepare shaders, it is poor optimization of the game that just slaps us in the face whenever we try our luck.

So, it is always better to just wait… take a deep breath, drink water, touch the grass, and think about the things you can do with that money.

The game is going to get Cracked now or then. Instead of supporting the poor optimization, blunders, and port of the game, you can just try your luck on the cracked version.

Final Verdict

So that’s our review on The Last of Us Part 1 is Poorly Optimized for PC. Nothing to say more and nothing to say less… just pathetic!
