The Queen’s Gambit has become world-wide famous on streaming giant, Netflix. Even though the show was supposed to be a limited series, Netflix is bringing another season for us. It is understandable why Netflix wants to continue the sho. The limited series was watched by 62 Million People on the streaming giant.
Will there be a Season 2 of Behind Her Eyes?
People are crediting Anya-Taylor Joy for the success of the show. She has done a remarkable job as Beth Harmon. Beth Harmon was raised in an orphanage. She learned how to play Chess there and becomes a champion of the start later in the series. Beth was seeing battling a pill addiction and misogyny in the TV series. Anya-Taylor Joy is one of the reasons the show did so well.
The Queen’s Gambit Season 2 Plot
The Queen’s Gambit is based on the book by the same name. In the book, Beth wins against Borgov. However, the book ends with the victory of Beth. That is why it is going to be a tough job to bring the show back. They will have to create a new plot for the show. The book “The Queen’s Gambit” was released 34 years ago. However, the show’s executive producer said this about the ending of the show;
“The last scene feels like a beautiful note to end the show on, so I’m not sure if we want to go on and answer that question. Maybe we can just let the audience imagine what comes next.”
Anya who plays Beth on the show also expressed her feelings about the character:
“I adore the character, and I would certainly come back if I was asked to, but I do think we leave Beth in a good place, I think the rest of her life will surely be an adventure as well, but in the quest that she goes on in this to find some form of peace, just some form of being able to be happy with who she is. I think it ends in a nice place.”
Release Date
There is no news about The Queen’s Gambit Season 2. However, they might create a new show with a new story and Anya Taylor-Joy. Nothing is confirmed yet if there is going to be a second season of the show.
