Andrew Lincoln played the iconic role of Rick Grimes for 10 years in The Walking dead. Before, the show he did many movies in the 90s as well. But, he got international fame through his role “Rick Grimes”. He left the show in the middle of season 9. In 2020, it was announced that he had signed three Rick Grimes with AMC. But, it was announced recently that the movies have been canceled for now.
Andrew Lincoln has not done any major project after The walking dead, so this upcoming movie is going to be his major role after The walking dead. Andrew Lincoln decided to leave the show because he wanted to spend more time with his family. It became difficult for him to be on the show as his children became older and less portable.
He said this in an interview with Forbes magazine;
“I have two young children, and I live in a different country, and they become less portable as they get older,” Lincoln says. “It was that simple. It was time for me to come home.”

“Penguin Bloom” is based on the book by the same name.
Andrew Lincoln is going to play the role of Australian photographer “Cameron Bloom”. However, his character’s life in the movie becomes difficult when his wife Sam, played by Naomi Watts is paralyzed after an accident. Her character fell from a balcony in Thailand. Cameron Bloom tries his best to cheer his wife and bring her back to normal life. The family becomes depressed after the tragedy. But, hope returns back in their lives as an injured “magpie”. It helps Sam and her family to move forward from this incident and its aftermaths.
The movie is filled with emtions and drama. The book “Penguin Bloom” got a lot of positive reviews from the readers. So , hopefully this new project is going to be loved by the audience as well.
The movie is going to be released on 15 January 2021. The trailer of the movie is released on Youtube as well.
Naomi Watts is going to play Cameron’s wife. Jacki Weaver is also going to the part of the movie. However, Noami Watts was quite excited to play the role and she felt an “instant connection” with the story and the script.
She said in an interview about her role:
“I didn’t expect to be s— on the face!” Watts remembered, laughing. “That didn’t end up in the movie, but it was early on in the film, on the first day, the bird was on my head and I felt a warm feeling and my mouth was [open], like ‘Ahh!’ and it literally went into my mouth.”
