Baldur’s Gate 3 is a cinematic masterpiece. You get to talk with different people, choose your own path, as well as characters, and then enjoy some spectacular dialogues. But, there are times you might meet a bug and due to it, you get to only see the results, not the things that happened in between. Baldur’s Gate 3 Grymforge Cave Bug is something similar, where you free Nere and afterward get to experience the destroyed cave, as well as no enemies around. There is no one inside the Githyanki Creche in the Grymforge.

Why is Grymforge Cave Githyanki Creche Blown and Nere Dead?
This whole scenario is a bug in the game that triggers the results of the events, without showing you the full story. After going to the Grymforge and Freeing True Soul Nere, you will fight some enemies. Then, if you leave the game, and reload the second time after coming back, you will find that the Githyanki Creche is cleared, there are no enemies.
On top of all of this, the Grymforge Cave is blown, and Nere is dead, whom you freed. There is no storyline to that and the whole scene is just finished.
As to why this happened, no one knows exactly. There isn’t a certain event that triggers this True Soul Nere Bug in BG3, except your saving True Soul Nere and then reloading the game again.
About Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)
Baldur’s Gate 3 is the latest and greatest in Baldur’s Gate series, being the successor to the decades-old Baldur’s Gate. The game is a classic RPS that you can enjoy with your friends or control multiple characters yourself.
Being quite like any other MMORPG, you have various classes, archetypes, and then that fantasy mixed onto them. Each one you choose will pave a different path onwards that you can enjoy with those crispy, jaw-dropping cinematics.
There is that main quest that slowly gets you around and furthers the side quests to help you stay in touch with your spiritual side as well. First of all, you start off as the main character, who is also termed the Origin Character. He/She has his/her very own unique background and story, also dialogues and cinematics.
Now, as you proceed with the game, you will find your character becoming stronger with those levels, equipment, skills, and special abilities. Yes, you are also further delving deep into the story of Baldur’s Gate 3 as well.
Now the fun part begins with the Combat or Fighting Mechanics of the game. There is a ton of complexity here, just like other role-playing Legendary Games including Pathfinder, as well as your favorite DnD (Dungeon and Dragons).
You get your own turn that you have to utilize and each step you take onwards will pave a different path for you or your characters. All the Turn-Based games are heavily dependent on the decisions you are going to take. This includes your path, present, and future, and that makes them so much more complex or fun.
Finally, there is a whole villain arc as well, where you get to experience the villain’s history. You get to slowly progress and fight her/him in the game.
Fix Baldur’s Gate 3 Grymforge Cave Bug – Freeing Nere Not Working!
Ideally, you can’t fix this issue on your own. But, there are a few things you can try to get around it.
The best thing you can do is reload the save and play the area without actually leaving the game till you finish it in time. In this way, the sequence won’t’ trigger and you will be able to proceed as usual.
Then again, the Baldur’s Gate 3 Grymforge Cave Bug – Freeing Nere Not Working issue is time-based. If it takes longer than usual, the reset will trigger, getting to the results, rather than showing you what’s the story.
In case you are still stuck with the Baldur’s Gate 3 True Soul Nere Bug, then you will probably have to start over, after reinstalling the game. You might have updated the game on the EA (Early Access) of BG3. Hope this helps!
