It has been a lifelong rule of Counter-Strike that once you get a major game ban for cheating, 2nd griefing offense, or even account boosting, then you are done for. It will result in you Permanently Banned by Overwatch in CS2, blocking you from accessing Counter-Strike 2 from that same account. But, why is that? Is there a fix for that?
Why Am I Getting Permanently Banned in CS2?
In a competitive game like Counter-Strike 2, bans are meant to block off players that are either toxic to the community or using other means to offend people like cheating, boosting, smurfing, and so on.
This is the same way with other competitive games in other genres like Dota 2, League of Legends, and Valorant. While it might sound like you did something, the system is not perfect and not all people are at fault most of the time.
The system might detect a third-party hacking tool, but it could be something else. While you are getting banned for abusing, grieving, or being toxic, it could be a team of 4 that did it on purpose without you even talking to them.
We all agree on one thing the system isn’t perfect, as players could 1 Vote Surrender in CS2 as well. So, the ban thing is definitely not even close to being a perfect tracker.
Is there a way to fix Permanently Banned By Overwatch in CS2?
Unfortunately, there is no way to get around it. The system does give you a warning beforehand that stop using the third-party software, or stop communicating like you do.
When you are hit with a CS2 Game Ban, that is completely permanent and you can’t do anything else. You can just make another account different from the one you were banned on and start playing with that.
However, there is one thing that you can also do here. You can write a detailed Email with proof of your games, and an explanation, and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure you are polite, and talking with proof.
