What is Staff Fire or Let Go in Dave the Diver?
Dave the Diver is a 2D Fisher Simulator-type game. Just like in real life when you open your Fisher Business and proceed to go onwards, you have to hire staff. On a lower budget, you get non-skilled personnel whom you train. But, as you proceed onward, you fire those and get skilled personnel.
This is the same theme here with Dave the Diver. You basically start off small and then as you proceed you can get skilled personnel with you.
How to Fire or Let Go of the Staff in Dave the Diver
You can Fire the Staff or Let Go of the Staff in Dave the Diver using the “Transfer” Feature in the game. It has been recently changed to “Dismiss”, making it much more understandable.
When you want to Fire the Staff, you will have to basically select that staff and then click on the “Dismiss” Button in the game. In case you messed up a Fire Staff process, you can simply rehire them as well. But, the drawback to that is they reset to level 1.
After Firing, Dismissing, or Transfering a Staff Member in Dave the Diver, there is a cutscene where they start waving and leaving using the speed beat. In return, Bancho will wave back at them.
What do you get in return?
When you Fire the Staff, you get some gold in return. Most of the time it depends on the level they are on. That’s it, you only get gold! But, besides gold, you get a free slot in the Staff Member that you can use to hire other personnel as well or rehire the ones you fired.
The Verdict
To Fire or Let Go of the Staff in Dave the Diver, you will have to select the Staff Member and press the Dismiss Button. It will give you some gold depending on the level and then empty a slot as well. Previously, it was titled “Transfer” which was quite confusing, but after the hotfix, they changed it to “Dismiss”. When you actually do that, there is a cutscene of that character saving and leaving using the speedboat.
