Where to Find Devastators
Devastators are part of the Automaton faction. You’ll find them on any Automaton-controlled planet at Challenging difficulty or higher. Keep an eye out for different types of Devastators. Some carry guns, others have shields, and then there are the ones with nasty rocket launchers. Use R1 to mark a target. If the word “Devastator” pops up, you’ve found your armored foe.
How to Unlock the EAT-17
- You need to hit level three first. Keep fighting those bugs!
- Head to the Ship Management computer and shell out 3,000 Requisition Slips for the EAT-17.
- Make sure to equip the EAT-17 before heading into a mission.
EAT-17 in Action
This weapon arrives as a supply drop. The EAT-17 is made for ripping through armor. Once you expose the squishy bits underneath, finish them off with regular weapons. The EAT-17 has a quick cooldown, great for dealing with groups of armored enemies. Even if you don’t personally use it, always call in your EAT-17. A teammate might find it just when they need it most!
Devastator Weak Points
While the EAT-17 can blast open armor, you don’t always need it. Here’s how to defeat a Devastator even without fancy anti-tank weaponry:
- Always a good strategy if you can land them.
- Some parts of a Devastator glow red – those are weak spots!
- Grenades and good ‘ole fashioned rockets can bypass armor completely.
