Netflix’s Through My Window: Across the Sea was released on the streaming platform on June 23rd. The first movie was released on February 4, 2022. The first movie followed Ares a teenage girl who falls for the next-door bad boy Ares. However, in the second film things become complicated between the pair as Ares moves to Stockholm to study medicine and Raquel stays in Barcelona to become a writer. The film is based on the book Trilogy by Ariana Godoy. The first movie proved to be a hit for the streaming platform and also charted in the Top 10 movies list. The sequel is also currently number one in multiple countries. Netflix revealed last year that they will make the movie a trilogy like Netflix’s The Kissing Booth, and To All the Boys I have loved before. Hence, there will be Netflix Through My Window 3.
Netflix Through My Window 3 Release Date
Netflix has not officially announced the release date of the third film yet. But, Netflix released an official video with the title announcement of the third movie which is Through My Window: Looking at You, and also revealed that the movie will arrive in 2024.
The first movie was released in February 2022 and the second one was released on June 23, 2023, so it makes sense that the third movie will also follow the same pattern.
Plot
The movie will not follow the third book as the movies have deviated from the books. The last film ended with complications between Ares and Raquel. Both of them struggled to make their long-distance relationship work. The long distance and lack of communication created problems for the couple. Ares cheated on Raquel with Vera, a student at his medical school. Raquel was angry wit Ares but mostly for not sharing the struggles he faced in Nothern Europe. Raquel decides to flirt with Gregory on the night of the celebration of San Juan.
But, a plot twist happened by the end of the movie. Yoshi was killed in an accident as he felt left out after Raquel left him to be with Gregory.
Ares and Raquel get into a fight with each other as Ares blames Raquel for Yoshi’s death. In the last scene of the movie, Raquel finds out that Yoshi sent the book she wrote about her relationship with Ares to the publisher. Also, Raquel ignores Gregory and says goodbye to her bedroom. But, the credit scene shows Ares and Raquel dancing in the club together indicating that there is hope for the couple.
Also, Ares’s brother Artemis publically held Caludia’s hand, and his father looked disappointed. So, we will be getting more of the couple in the third installment. Also, Apolo finally accepts Daniela’s request to have a threesome. So, the third movie might also give us a glimpse into the future of the other characters as well.
Cast
Clara Galle and Julio Peña Fernández will reprise their roles as Raquel and Ares in Netflix Through My Window 3. Eric Masip, Hugo Arbués, and Natalia Azahara will be back to play their roles. Also, additional cast members from the sequel will also be back which include Andrea Chaparro, Iván Lapadula, and Carla Tous.
