Top 10 Exotic Armor for Destiny 2 Endgame

The builds you are planning to go with are very important when you’re preparing your Guardian to conquer the Nightfalls, Dungeons, or solo Lost Sectors. And in the middle of your builds are the build-defining exotic armor pieces. Some provide great utility for the team, others great DPS or survivability. Either way, these are the best tools you can bring along to help you through the endgame activities of Destiny. No further ado, let’s inspect the armor.

Top 10 Exotic Armor for Destiny 2 Endgame

Heart of Inmost Light (Titan)

It is one of the simplest exotics and most versatile, as it can be used with any elemental affinity. Using any of your three abilities will amplify and empower the two others, improving their cooldowns and effectiveness. Your Grenade and Melee will deal more damage, and the barricade can take more damage.

Simply put, the exotic allows you to constantly use your abilities on a low cooldown and at the maxed-out effectiveness. Personally, I find it most effective with the Void builds.

Synthoceps (Titan)

This particular exotic strikes right in the core of the power fantasy behind the Titan class and does so effectively. Every once in a while, the buff to melee damage breaks the game, and even with their normal functionality, this is a powerful exotic for certain builds focusing on melee damage, such as War Banner Strand Titan or Solar Hammer. Yet again, it’s not tied to any elemental subclass and can be used freely to suit your aggressive playstyle.

Pyrogale Gauntlets (Titan)

This newest exotic significantly improves the Solar super ability. It turns the roaming Burning Maul into a single-use Damage Super that hits hard and is well on par with other meta DPS supers, like Hunter’s Blade Barrage. You can easily use that to either nuke tough enemies, including champions, or use it for boss dps, being able to quickly use the ability and continue the damage phase with your main weapons. It can be tough to obtain through the solo Lost Sectors due to the random drop, which feels awful lately, and I personally wouldn’t mind outsourcing such farming to the Destiny 2 boost services entirely instead of farming the Sector for many hours and getting all other exotics arms to drop, except for the ones I needed.

Star-Eater Scales (Hunter)

Gathering the Orbs of Power while at full super energy supercharges your super ability and increases its damage. Usually paired with the Blade Barrage, this exotic provides an incredible DPS boost, turning Hunter’s supers into the highest DPS abilities in the game and additional defense, as the maximum overcharge also activates an overshield. It works with all subclasses, so feel free to experiment!

Orpheus Rig (Hunter)

This exotic further improves Moebius Quiver Void Super, providing additional shots and increasing its overall damage, making it a strong DPS option and enabling extra tether control. This exotic works wonders with the builds focused on the super regen, as you can quickly get multiple supers in a row with the right build and situations, gaining a lot of extra super energy for each tethered enemy.

Omnioculus (Hunter)

It’s hard to overestimate the importance of this exotic in high-end content such as Grandmaster Nightfalls, where being able to keep yourself and your teammates in stealth can be the difference between life and death. When used with two members of the fireteam in range of the bomb, you can instantly recharge it and keep up the invisibility all the time. A powerful tool to recover from dire situations allows the Hunter to sneak up and revive fallen teammates, making them invisible immediately after.

Phoenix Protocol (Warlock)

While the Well of Radiance is already the most important super in the endgame content, it can be even better when combined with the Phoenix Protocol, which replenishes Warlock’s super energy for the kills inside the Well, allowing them to get another charge ready quite fast. Works best in group activities with lots of ads, such as Nightfalls.

Sunbracers (Warlock)

Simply put, provides the Warlock players with LOTS of powerful grenades that take care of all the ads in your path. Paired with certain solar fragments from Solar 3.0, this exotic provides spectacular and effective ad-clearing capabilities and quick recharge of your nades, allowing you to spam the miniature suns.

Necrotic Grip (Warlock)

One of the most iconic and powerful ad-clearing exotics that can spread the poison through entire rooms of enemies. Works great with the Weapons of Sorrow, including Osteo Striga, Thorn, Touch of Malice, and the Necrochasm. Both effective and fun exotic to play with.

Aeon’s Arms (All Classes)

Running one of those in a fireteam can be highly beneficial or even crucial to go through the DPS phase or deal with many champions. The most useful perk allows the wielder to execute champions, minibosses, and elites to generate Heavy and Special ammunition for the entire fireteam. It is even worth keeping some of these barely alive and switching to Aeons to execute them and resupply mid-fight if the boss has multiple DPS phases and your team is running low on ammo.
