Assassins Creed Mirage is a game that is truly enjoyed without casually showcasing technical issues including crashing at startup, and lower performance. But, in the early hours of the game, players found out that the game was not even starting for them. Yes, it is inconvenient for the players, but we are here to help you fix this issue.
Ubisoft had announced their latest game in the Assassins Creed Series, named Mirage. The Assassins Creed Mirage brings the taste of the original Assassins Creed where you had no abilities and only utilized the true Assassins Training in combat.
Backed up by those special hidden blades, and weapons, you choose to stay hidden and get things done while not being even seen or found. Fighting in plain sight is only a choice when you are forced to do so.
Why is AC Mirage Not Starting?
When a game doesn’t even start on your system, it might be because of the game files, or the updates of your system. So, the first culprit here is your GPU Driver or updates of Windows and the game.
Also, sometimes the game doesn’t even start because you don’t have enough powerful systems to start the game. Therefore, checking out the AC Mirage Minimum and Recommended Requirements is a must.
Another reason that comes to mind is the Antivirus, or the game not having the admin rights to proceed with the start. Now, let’s get to fixing all of these things.

Update your Graphics Card Driver
One of the most common reasons for AC Mirage Not Starting is outdated graphics card drivers. It’s important to have the most up-to-date drivers to ensure the optimal performance of your system.
So, visit your hardware manufacturer’s website and find the latest version of their GPU driver suite. Download and install the latest driver on your system, and see if it resolves the issue.
- For Nvidia, you can download the Drivers from Nvidia Experience.
- For AMD, you can download the Drivers from AMD Adrenaline or through the manual method.
Use Driver Easy
We understand that updating drivers can be a tedious and time-consuming process. If you don’t have the time or knowledge to update your drivers, you can use a free driver updater tool like Driver Easy.
Driver Easy will scan your system for outdated drivers and provide you with a list of all the available updates. You can choose to update all the drivers at once or select the ones that need to be updated.
Update Windows and Other Drivers
Also, when you are down with the GPU Drivers, make sure you are on the latest and greatest Windows Drivers as well. Write Update on the Windows Search bar at the bottom left. Then open the tab and from there check on the Updates.
After you are done, you will be asked to restart your system. Simple as that!
Disable Full Screen Optimization
Run AC Mirage as Admin
If the game doesn’t have the Administrative Rights, it is not going to run, or even start. Right-click on the game from the shortcut, and then click on “Run as Administrator”. If you are on Windows 11, you might have to expand the options and then click on the same button.
Disable Antivirus and Firewall
Another reason for AC Mirage Not Starting can be your antivirus or firewall. These programs can block certain game files, causing the game to malfunction.
You can temporarily disable your antivirus and firewall and try running the game again. If the game works fine after disabling these programs, add AC Mirage to the exception list in your antivirus and firewall settings.
Behind the game, there might be various applications running that can result in the game not starting. Open your Task Bar and close all the unnecessary apps. Also, in the startup section of your Task Manager, you can disable the apps that start automatically when you restart. You can restart your system to clear most unknown apps running in the back.
