Battlefield 2042 Season 5 Changes – Events and Vault Weapon Attachments

The new Battlefield 2042 update 5.1.0 was just launched (not available to the public as of now, but maybe next week) and that means we are officially in the New Season 5. Here in this guide, we will be going deep into the Battlefield 2042 Season 5 Changes including Events and Vault Weapon Attachments. So, buckle up and enjoy the trip.

Mid-Season Events

Now, the first thing they confirmed is the introduction of mid-season events. Now, you will have some special events between the seasons instead of at the beginning or the ending.

The Archangel Legion is ascending. This Mid-Season event will most likely be similar to other events. There will be a game mode that you can enjoy and get cosmetics.

Additions and Changes

Now, moving onwards to the additions and changes, they are mostly focused on the improvements here.

They are expanding the vault weapon attachments, moving on to other weapons here. The attachments this time are M39 EMR and SVD. Both of these weapons are kind of not too much popular in the game as of right now.

They restricted the ability to respawn in the cab brawler as well. Only in the case when the vehicle is full or in combat.

Change Logs

For the audio part of the game, there aren’t many changes here. There was a recent issue in Battlefield 2042 where the grenades played a pin sound, which was fixed in the New Season 5 Changes.

There were some jitters and stuttering while playing the game at a fast pace. So, that was also fixed in New Season 5.

Now, in the latest update, there is an addition of the Preview Window. You can find it in the option setting for minimap orientation. Due to this, you can now see how the minimap will look after adjustment.

For the most part, there was speculation that there will be more portal content here. Along with that, we would get a new portal map. But, that is not the case here as we don’t have any portal content and no new portal map.

In the Reclaimed Map, when you go above the bunker on D1, there is a strange area, where you can basically sit and shoot to spawn. They added environmental covers such as bushes and trees.

Major Hazard Zone Changes

Hazard Zones are one of the most popular game modes as of now in the game. There are a ton of changes for those here.

Specialist Gadget

Previously, there were 20, 30, and 50mm projectiles to be intercepted by Irishe’s APS. This has been completely changed and no longer happens.

The Color Blind Settings now apply to the Claymore and lasers as well. If you are colorblind and having trouble seeing them, that will be fixed now in the new update.

Some of the weapons and vault attachments had some graphical issues, which are now fixed in Battlefield 2042 Season 5 Changes. This includes red dots, grips, positioning, default attachments not showing, and so on.

Lastly, in our Battlefield 2042 Season 5 Event and Vault Weapon Attachments guide, we are going to talk about that.

So, the 20mm Flat Canon has been nerfed. They fixed an issue, where this cannon did some extra damage that wasn’t actually going to happen.

They also lowered the range of the flat cannon in the new update, along with its impulse. Therefore, it won’t move vehicles around in the air.

The range of the jet rockets is increased for the jet pilots. The range is from 400 meters to somewhere around 600 meters.
