Yes, they do exist in Diablo 4. It is a convention you can utilize to make a great name for your in-game character.
You can put in the numbers, letters, and special characters you want in the name, but there will probably be a heavy limit somewhere. The game isn’t launched and we can’t assure you what are those, but we know for certain that you can put them.
Max characters and Unique names!
The maximum amount of characters you can put in Diablo 4 while naming your character is somewhere around the line of 12. You can’t go beyond that, but there is no such thing as Unique names here. Two people can have the same name inside the game.
Alternate Account Same Name?
Yes, they are also available. As you don’t have to worry about the unique names in Diablo 4, which means you can put the same names on all the characters you own with your Battle.net account.
Battlenet Tag, Chat, and Character Name – Appearance!
Both your Battlenet Tag and the Character Name will appear in the chat, especially in your clan’s chat. Again, there is a rule for the clan chat that the character name will be the battle.net name without the end tag.
