How to Dock With Nova Galactic Staryard
Target Nova Galactic Staryard
The first thing you need to do to dock with the Nova Galactic Staryard is to target it. To do this, press the E key on a PC or the A button on a console. This will let you shuffle through all the interactable targets in the space around you. These include planets, docking stations, and other ships.
Lock onto the Nova Galactic Staryard. Once you’ve done so successfully, hold down the A button on your console to hail the Staryard. This shows that your ship is friendly and may help you dock.
When you target the Nova Galactic Staryard properly, you’ll be able to see both its name and health bar. If that doesn’t happen, you need to target the ship again. Aim towards the target ship and press the ‘E’ key on your keyboard to make this selection again.
Hold Dock Button
Once you’ve successfully targeted the Nova Galactic Staryard and can see its name and health bar, it’s time to actually dock. To do this, you need to first get close to the target ship and its docking station.
When you’re close enough, you’ll be able to see the Dock and Hail buttons below the Staryard’s name. Simply wait for the right moment. Then press and hold the R key on a PC, or X button on a console. These are the default dock buttons for both PC and console users.
A cutscene displays you docking with the other ship. Once you’re on board, you essentially act as the pilot and can both dock and undock the ship. When trying to dock an enemy ship, you’ll need the Targeting Control Systems ability. This helps you destroy and immobilize the ship, so you can dock safely.
Make sure you don’t have your speed set high when approaching the target ship. If you’re too fast, you may not be able to stop once you’re close to the Nova Galactic Staryard.
There aren’t docking stations on both sides of the target ship. So you need to approach it from the correct side for a docking prompt to appear.
If you’ve been trying repeatedly with no luck, it’s possible you’ve been approaching the ship from the wrong side. Circle around and try to dock from the other side.
Maximizing your shield goes a long way in ensuring a successful ship docking. That’s because when trying to dock on a much larger vessel, collision can be extremely dangerous and utterly wreck your ship.
Target the Nova Galactic Staryard, hold the dock button, and viola. We hope this guide on How to Dock With Nova Galactic Staryard in Starfield helps. As always, happy gaming!
