Can’t Create Own Character and Controlling Friend Character – Explained!
Now, things are quite strange and utterly different in Baldur’s Gate 3. The issue of Friend Character not being removed is like this. When you create your own custom character, but with a friend, you won’t be able to do so.
In return, you will be able to control your friend’s character in the game. It can happen in reverse with you as well. But, to get around it, you will have to either leave control, or they have to do that with you.
To be a part of the campaign where you are all together, you will have to start the campaign together. Only then these characters are locked in.
You or your friend will gain control over each other characters till the one who is in control leaves. When it is so, the one who is in control won’t be able to create their own custom character.
Instead, there is a second campaign that you will start together, having your own custom character.
