The Job’s Done Slate is a slate you acquire as part of the Deputized mission. It gives clues regarding the Ruffian Leader’s ship jackings.

How to Read The Job’s Done Slate?

You need to read the Job’s Done Slate as part of Deputized, your first mission as a Freestar Ranger deputy. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t actually explain to you how to do this. 

The Job’s Done Slate is found on the Ruffian Leader’s corpse. But it isn’t read when it’s added to your inventory. Here’s how to read it: 

Open Inventory 

To read the Job’s Done Slate, the first thing you need to do is open your inventory. This opens a dark screen with a list of scrollable categories on the left-hand side. These categories include ammo, aid, resources, etc. 

Scroll to Notes 

Among these categories, you must scroll down until you find notes. It’s above resources but below Aid.  Once you find it, click on it.

Read Job’s Done Slate

Clicking on Notes opens a new window with a bunch of notes. All of them have different names. Scroll through them to find the Job’s Done Slate. Open the note and read it.

It will talk about how the writer’s contact inside HopeTech came through, and they have the recipient’s ship. They’ll drop it off at the agreed-upon location once the credits are in their account. The note finishes up with the writer saying they are always looking for work so if the recipient needs any other ships jacked, let them know.
